Leila's 1st day of 8th Grade.
She made both the varsity volleyball team and the cheer squad.
I am very pleased I thought of this
(and they all cooperated).
Most of our summer and fall has been spent on construction.
In addition to a new pool liner and re-painting the pool wall,
we finally decided to do something we've talked about for 20 years.
We tore down the old pool house, and built a new one.
Not only that - we added a hot tub!
Way more money and way more time than we planned.
We're still not quite finished - but we're getting there.
Her birthday 'party' was a trip to a haunted house with friends.
Caleb turned 2 in November.
It was a rough fall for Mom.
She started with Covid in Sept,
moved onto a very extensive foot surgery in Oct,
and then hospitalized for over a week in Nov
due to a bleeding issue.
Hopefully, she's on the road to recovery now.
With school volleyball over,
Leila decided to try out for travel ball this year.
She made the Galaxy Team (based in Huntington)!
It's a lot of money and lots of time on the road,
but I think it will be a good thing for her.
